What the service is

On the business's behalf, Recenzo sends its customers messages about a booked appointment — a confirmation and a reminder — and one request for a Google review after the visit. Messages go to the customer's email; if the customer leaves only a phone number, they go out as Viber Business messages or, if Viber is not available, as SMS.

The messages are fixed templates. The business only chooses when they are sent; the customer's name, the date, the time and the business name are filled in automatically.

Customer consent

The business is responsible for making sure that every customer, before their phone number is entered into Recenzo, has agreed to receive messages about their appointment, and for confirming this in the app before the appointment is saved. The business must not enter the phone number of a person who has not agreed.

Recenzo records the date and time of the confirmation, which member of the business's staff entered the appointment and the version of the consent text. The business is responsible for keeping proof of the customer's consent and for providing it on request.

A customer can unsubscribe using the link in every message; the business must not circumvent the opt-out or message a customer after they have unsubscribed.

What is prohibited

• Sending advertising or promotional messages through Recenzo — only confirmations, reminders and the review request.
• Asking for reviews in exchange for a discount, a gift or any other benefit.
• Choosing whom to ask for a review based on whether the customer is satisfied, and discouraging customers from leaving negative reviews. Every customer receives the review request.
• Messaging people who have not agreed or who have unsubscribed.
• Using the service for businesses Viber does not allow, for example gambling and betting, pawnshops and adult content. [LAWYER: full list according to Viber's rules]
• Entering a review link that does not lead to the business's own Google profile.

Suspension of an account

All businesses share one Viber sender, so one business breaking the rules can put all the others at risk. Recenzo may pause or suspend the account of a business that breaks these terms or whose recipients unsubscribe often, including without prior notice where needed to protect customers and other users. While an account is paused, no messages are sent.

Data processing

For its customers' data (name, phone number, appointment) the business is the controller, and Recenzo processes it on the business's behalf as a processor, solely to send the messages. A data processing agreement is an annex to these terms. [LAWYER: text of the data processing agreement]

Price and payment

Cancellation

Limitation of liability

Changes to the terms
